donates 20 wheelchairs to the American Red Cross

In partnership with the American Red Cross and other agencies helping in disaster,
Stroke Life Society's Recycled Medical Equipment and Supply Program is active in helping victims of Hurricane Sandy.
In August 2013, the Red Cross along with the Office of Emergency Management considered outfitting Conex boxes with wheelchairs to assist their clients in future ARC shelters.
Stroke Life Society's quick response and coordination resulted in a seamless effort to supply all 20 wheelchairs needed.
"The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others."
